I would like also to congratulate Katja Niemann and Martin Wolpers, from the Fraunhofer FIT, for the best student paper award for their work “Usage Context-Boosted Filtering for Recommender Systems in TEL” by Katja Niemann and Martin Wolpers, researchers of the Fraunhofer FIT and my colleagues from the Interactive Technology Group of the Universitat Pompeu Fabra for their second demo prize for their amazing work Signal Orchestration System, an interactive tool to support orchestration in face-to-face group activities.

It was a great pleasure to meet there old colleagues such as Davinia Hernández-Leo (one of the Program chairs), Patricia Santos, Maren Scheffel and Katjia Niemann or  Carl Smith and have nice conversations with Marcus Specht, Marco Kalz, Birgit Schmitz, Dai Griffiths and Mike Sharples.

I will come soon with some of the papers and tools that were presented there and some of the reflections that come to my mind after these stimulating days in Cyprus. Meanwhile, you can have a look at the Storify of the conference or look for the hashtag #ectel2013 in Twitter.

Thanks to all the organizers and chairs to make this possible again!
